Ótishé
This collection is entitled "Ótishé," which is a phrase in my native Nigerian language (Urhobo) that signifies "charm and resilience against effective assaults and violence." It reminds me of the accomplishments, bravery, resilience, and survival of Africans despite centuries of violence and slavery.
